and the journey begins

Well, Hatley Jane Parish came into this world Tuesday April 27th @ 4:46 pm. She weighed 9 lbs 7 oz and was 21 inches long. (big girl) She has surely had a rough start to this world. First, she swallowed a lot of fluid on the way out and had respiratory distress all of Tuesday evening. Woke up early Wednesday just not happy. Come to find out when the pediatrician came and checked her out that she has a fractured clavicle. It shouldn't take too much time to heal but we can definitely tell that she is in pain. We finally got her to start nursing pretty well so that has been a relief.

We will try to keep this blog updated as much as possible with the newest addition to our family. She is totally beyond amazing. I never knew I could love someone so quickly so much. She has quickly become EVERYTHING that Patrick and I think about. She already has Patrick wrapped around her tiny finger and it is so awesome to watch the love that he has for her. She is definitely he world and will be for the rest of his life and that is A-okay with me. I love watching the way he holds her and looks at her. There is so much love for her.

Please say your prayers for her little shoulder. It is causing her pain and discomfort and we hope that this injury does not last for long.

she just isn't ready

So, today is the 21st...ONE DAY before her due date and she isn't here yet!!! I am growing extremely impatient and I know Patrick is tired of hearing me complain. I was so determined that she would be here last week, but apparently she is entirely too comfy in my big fat belly. I have done everything they say to do that will "induce" labor....let me just tell you....they're all full of crap!!! We went to the Arts Festival last night and walked for atleast 2 hours, that didn't work and I really thought it was going to do the trick. It didn't.

I am hoping to have her by Friday, Dr. Lisa wants to induce next week. If I induce, it will be Tuesday. I am really hoping to not have to do that though. Lets all say our prayers and keep our fingers crossed that she comes....TODAY!! or tomorrow will work too.
