recent visit to chickasha

We drove down to Chickasha yesterday afternoon to visit Patrick's grandparents and uncle. We had a great time showing off how Hatley talks and laughs now :) The last time we brought her down there she was about a month old or so. Needless to say, she has changed A LOT!!!!!

Nothing new really going on with us right now, Patrick had vacation all week from work so we have just been hanging out and enjoying the time together.

We drove to Stillwater yesterday to meet Hatleys future husband, Payne. He was born on July 19th so he is still quite a bit smaller than Hatley :) but here are some pics of them meeting eachother

I recently ordered birth announcements for Hatley and I included our family blog so...I guess I will have to get better at updating!! So here goes nothing...

I have been working on getting Hatley to sit on her own. She is almost there (for about 2 seconds) hahaha! I am also a little concerned that she has shown no interest in rolling over either way but I guess that means she is a very content baby and is happy just hanging out :) She still has those two little teeth just about to pop through on that bottom gum of hers but they don't seem to be bothering her anymore so that makes it a little easier on Patrick and I. We are still greatly appreciating her sleeping through the entire night, if she didn't, I would be a mad woman!

Well, that is it for now. Oh....as some of you know, meredith diffee (seths girlfriend) is leaving for Swaziland on Thursday until the end of September. Please pray for her and the rest of the church that is headed there. Pray they will have safe travels.

teeth....already??

I think Hatley is officially teething! i thought it was too early and it must be something else is bothering her but i now see 3 little white spots on the top of her bottom gum! no WONDER she is so so so so sooooo fussy! no matter what i do, she is just not herself. hopefully this teething stuff gets a little easier!

car troubles that lead to Dave Ramsey

Today I had to take my car to get looked at because it was making a funny noise, turns out my flex pipe that is connected to the catalytic converter has a crack in it. (yes, i did have to go to multiple shops and say that sounding like I knew what I was talking about) Going through this, I got extremely stressed out about money. If you know me, you know I worry ALL THE TIME!!! So I text Patrick telling him how worried I was and how come every time we seem to be a little ahead financially with money and savings and things paid off, something HAS to go wrong and take all of our money out of our savings causing us to start over again :( isn't it frustrating the things God gives you and says...."trust me." It is so hard to do that (as a worrier) when every time things are going good, it gets turned back around and slaps you in the face!

With all that said, I really got to thinking and we are doing Dave Ramsey. Probably not to the full extent but we are going to start "attempting" the whole process. If any of you have done FPU, please let me know if you have any tips or thoughts on his whole mentality.
